I’m personally a big fan of not being locked into super rigid contracts, so this was a nice experience for me. I had to switch a few things around after the fact, and it was easy. No huge hassle, no endless back and forth, just simple and flexible, which I really appreciated.

Most days, my lights work just fine and do what they’re supposed to. The only thing I notice is that scenes can be a little slow to kick in sometimes. I’m guessing it might be the hub or maybe my Wi-Fi acting up, but I don’t really have proof. Overall, it’s okay for daily use.

I’ve been using Hilo for a few months now, and I’m happy with it. My power bill has gone down a bit, mostly because the small challenges and reminders got me thinking more about my heating habits and when I use electricity during peak hours.
The app isn’t perfect, since it can be slow sometimes and a few of the tips feel repetitive. Still, I’m satisfied overall because it’s helped me save some money without having to make any major changes to my routine.

I mainly use hilo for the notifications, they do what they’re supposed to do. They show up when I need them, so I’m not sitting there checking the app all day. Maybe some people don’t care about that, but for me it’s been really helpful. It’s simple, sure, but it works

I mostly use the Hilo app on my phone, and it’s been easy to deal with. The pages usually load fast, which is nice because I get annoyed waiting around, and I can find what I need without tapping through a million screens. I did have it freeze once or twice, or maybe just lag for a second, but I closed it and opened it again and it was fine. Not a huge deal. It’s not perfect or anything, but for just using it here and there on my phone, it works well and keeps things simple

I ordered from hilo.com i was impressed when it showed up. The quality was better than I expected, especially for the price.
The product feels sturdy and not cheap at all, and the little details are actually nicer than I thought they’d be. I’ve used it a few times now and so far nothing feels flimsy or poorly made.
The only small thing was that the tracking took a bit to update, so I wasn’t totally sure what was going on for a day or two. Did anyone else have the same issue? Overall though, I’m happy with it and would order again.

"Good thermostat, just a little slow sometimes"
I’ve been using the hilo thermostat in my place for a while now, and overall it’s been a solid upgrade. It does a good job keeping the temperature steady, and I didn’t have much trouble figuring out the app, which is always a plus for me.
The only thing I’ve noticed is that after I change the settings, it can take a little bit to update. It’s not a huge issue, but it can be mildly annoying when I’m waiting for it to respond. Even with that, I’m still happy with it.

I’m giving hilo.com 4 stars because the privacy settings were easy to find, which was nice. I’m not totally sure I understood every part of what data they use or why, but it mostly seemed clear enough. I do wish they explained a few things in plainer language, because I had to reread some sections. Overall though, it feels safe enough to use

I mostly use Hilo to control the heating and cooling at home, and it’s been really handy. The app is easy to use, and I really like being able to adjust the temperature when I’m not home.
The only reason I’d give it 4 stars is that sometimes it takes a bit to update, or the schedule is a little slow to sync. It’s not really a huge problem, but it can be annoying once in a while. Overall, it works well for me.

"Support helped, just took a little while"
I ran into an issue with my Hilo account and ended up reaching out to support, and I was kind of hoping it would be a quick thing, but it took longer than I expected to hear back.
When they did respond, the person was friendly and actually answered my question, so I can’t really complain about that part. I did have to send one follow-up though, which was a little annoying because I was just sitting there wondering if it had gotten missed or what.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, just not one of those super smooth, fast support moments either. It got sorted in the end, which is what mattered, but yeah, I definitely wish the response time had been a bit quicker.
